They were made in USA. I have some ads with this pair in it from the early 1950s. The rubber is soft except for the toe caps where the rubber is harder but not cracked.
The tread has a very small amount of wear to the very back of the heel indicating they were worn but not much. The ankle patch is uncommon as are the red heel tags. They are 12.2 from toe to heel. These are very rare and collectible. I have been collecting Chuck Taylors for many years and have about 400 pairs in my collection shown in one of the pictures.
