The US Navy fought a global war during WW2, from the balmy South Seas to the howling gales of the North Atlantic. Sailors were issued the classic white canvas and black rubber deck shoes designed by Paul Sperry to decrease the risk of slipping on the slick surface "topside". This pair of US Navy WW2 WHITE CANVAS + BLACK RUBBER DECK SHOES are in good condition, with heavy drying, stiffening, and cracking to the soles and outsoles such that the bottom half of the shoes are as hard as a rock, making them suitable for a static display only and not to be tried on a foot or a mannequin, and with some overall "browning" and age wear evident (ALL pictured).
Otherwise, the shoes are in fine shape, with no other damage. Most interestingly, they boast the classic white canvas uppers, sport the traditional black rubber soles and outsoles, the former of which are twice each marked MADE IN U.
, and feature the original metal tipped white cotton laces. They are a Size 7, carry the matching initials "ACW" stenciled in black at each interior, and are a fine example of very rare, original US Navy WW2 WHITE CANVAS + BLACK RUBBER DECK SHOES.
